Spring Concert 2010 “The Mystic Chorale 20th Anniversary Concert”      Led by director Nick Page

This spring we celebrate twenty years of MYSTIC music making in concert at Sanders Theatre. The program will feature new and old songs as well as a commissioned piece by Nick Page. Dr. Phillip Woods, who directed our 1999 Gospel concert, will be one of our guests. We will also honor Jonathan Singleton's work by singing two of his "Beatitude" pieces. 10 Rehearsals beginning Tuesday, March 30, 2010 Concerts:             Saturday, June 5, 2010, 8:00pm             Sunday, June 6, 2010, 2:30pm (PLEASE NOTE CHANGE IN TIME)             Sanders Theatre, Cambridge Workshop for Mystic Singers- Tuesday, March 23rd- Free On Tuesday, March 23rd, Nick will lead a workshop in two parts. The first will be CHORUS 101, (how to sing in tune, avoiding those pesky "R"s, how to create beautiful vowels, how to breathe). The second part will be READING MUSIC 101 (finding do re mi and making sense of the staff). The workshop is free to the Mystic community. Members of the spring season are encouraged (but not required) to attend. 7:30 PM in the sanctuary at First Parish in Arlington. Come join us in singing and celebrating music that pulses with life!
