Fall 2009   "Inspiration"      Led by director Nick Page                 with special guest Dr.Ysaye M. Barnwell
Join Mystic founder and gifted song leader, Nick Page along with Sweet Honey and the Rock's, Dr. Ysaye M. Barnwell in our fall concerts fittingly named "Inspiration". In 1987, after attending a workshop led by Ysaye Barnwell, an inspired Nick Page started his "POWER SINGS" which soon gave birth to the Mystic Chorale. Twenty glorious years later, we are still singing. This season will feature a broad selection of Nick's favorites from the many musicians that have inspired him. And our special guest, Ysaye Barnwell, will teach us some of her favorites as well. Don't miss this inspirational season of music and the chance to experience these two great and gifted song leaders! We welcome all who want to sing! No auditions required, just a desire to be amazing and to be part of this wonderful singing community! Rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 7:30 at First Parish Church, Arlington. Mandatory dress rehearsal Tuesday, Nov. 17, 7 p.m. at Tremont Temple. Mandatory workshop with Ysaye Barnwell, Friday, Nov. 20, 7 p.m. Location TBA. Registration fee $90. The Mystic Chorale takes the stage at Sanders Theater to celebrate twenty wonderful years with many surprise “guest” artist/friends from over the years.
