From 128 North / South:

  • Take Route 2 East to the exit marked "Route 60 Arlington".
  • At the bottom of the ramp turn left onto Route 60 / Pleasant St.
  • Stay on Pleasant St. until it intersects Mass Ave. in the center of Arlington. First Parish is the white church on your left.

From Downtown Boston:
  • Take Storrow Drive westbound until it intersects Route 2 West.
  • Take Route 2 West to the Pleasant St. / Arlington Exit.
  • At the bottom of the ramp turn right onto Pleasant St..
  • Stay on Pleasant St. until it intersects Mass Ave. in the center of Arlington. First Parish is the white church on your left.

From Cambridge:
  • Follow Mass Ave. west until it crosses Pleasant St. in Arlington Center. First Parish is the white church on your left.

Via Public Transportation:
A number of buses connect Arlington center to the Red Line. During the week, the 79, the 350, and the 67 buses are available at Alewife station. On Sunday, when buses run less frequently, the 77 bus from Porter Square is a better bet. Complete bus schedules can be found at the MBTA web site.

Church Parking:
Parking is available at the Arlington Library to the right of the church on Mass. Ave. You can also park along Pleasant Street. There are also metered lots behind the businesses on Mass. Ave.

By Car
  • Church of Our Saviour is located in East Arlington, not far from the intersection of the Cambridge, Somerville and Arlington town lines. The church is located on Marathon Street, which is a one-way street running from Massachusetts Avenue to Broadway.
  • From Cambridge, head up Massachusetts Avenue until you cross route 16. Continue up Mass. Ave. past 2-3 blocks after the first stop light, and turn right onto Marathon St. There is an Audiosonic store on the far corner.
  • If you are coming down Mass Ave. from Lexington or Arlington Center, Marathon St. is a block or two after the Capital Theater. There will be a Audiosonics store at the corner of Marathon and Mass. Ave. Another good landmark is the Dagg's Deli on your right; Marathon St. is right across from it. Turn left on Marathon St.
  • From Route 2 heading into Boston from 128, head East on Route 2. Take the Lake Street (East Arlington) exit, and at the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Lake St. Follow Lake St. until it comes to an end at Mass. Ave. Turn right, and then immediately turn left onto Marathon St.
By Public Transportation
  • From Harvard or Porter Sq, take the #77 bus out to Arlington. After the bus crosses Route 16 on Mass Ave, take the first or second stop after the stop light. (See the car instructions above for more landmarks.)
  • From Alewife, take the #79 or #350 bus; it will head into Arlington Center down Mass ave. Once you are on Mass Ave past route 16, follow the above directions. (Note: both the #79 and the #350 buses only run on weekdays; they do not run on Saturday or Sunday).

From the North:
  • Take Route 93 or Route 1 South and take the Haymarket exit.
  • Turn right at the bottom of the exit.
  • Turn left onto Cambridge Street at the second set of traffic lights.
  • The Tremont Temple is now 2.5 blocks away on the left.


From the South:
  • Take 93 North to the Causeway Street exit.
  • Turn on Causeway and go past the TD Banknorth Garden ( formerly Fleet Center).
  • Continue straight through intersection up Stanhope Street.
  • Left on Cambridge Street. Cambridge St. becomes Tremont Street. The Tremont Temple is now 3 blocks away on the left.


Via Public Transportation:
Red Line
Park Street Station, exit the station onto Tremont Street and walk in the direction of City Hall/Government Center 2.5 blocks to the Tremont Temple.

Green Line
Government Center Station, exit the station onto Tremont Street and walk 2.5 blocks in the direction of the Boston Common to the Tremont Temple.

Orange Line
State Street Station, exit the station via the Washington Street/Milk Street exit, walk up School Street 2 blocks and turn Left on Tremont Street. Walk 1/2 block to the Tremont Temple.

Parking:
On-street metered parking is limited; we recommend taking public transportation. There are also a limited number of validated parking spaces in the One Beacon Street garage.

From the North:
  • Take I-93 south through Boston.  
  • Take Exit 32.
  • Follow Route 60 west (which becomes High Street) about 1.3 miles to the church (on left).
  • From the South:

    • Take I-93 north through Boston
    • Take Exit 32.
    • Follow Route 60 west (which becomes High Street) about 1.3 miles to the church (on left).

    From the West:

    • Take route 2 east to route 60.
    • At end of exit ramp, turn left toward Arlington.
    • Continue on route 60 through Arlington Center (1.0 mile from route 2).
    • Go through 2 rotaries (another 0.6 mile) and across railroad tracks (another 0.6 mile).
    • Continue 0.2 miles on route 60 (High Street) to church (on right).

    Via Public Transportation: 
    Commuter Rail
    Take the Lowell line from North Station to West Medford Station. Walk 0.2 miles east to church.
     

    Bus 94 (Davis Square / Red Line subway - Medford Square) stops on High Street near the church.

    Bus 95 (Sullivan Square / Orange Line subway - West Medford) stops on High Street near the church.

    Red Line
    Take the red line to the Davis Square station. Take Bus 95 (Davis Square-Medford Square) which stops on High Street near the church.

    Orange Line
    Take the orange line to Sullivan Square. Take bus 95 (Sullivan Square / Orange Line Subway-West Medford) which stops on High Street near the church.

    Parking:
    You can park on the street near the church. There is a small parking lot behind the church.

    There isn't much parking available, so we highly recommend you take public transportation.

    Via public transportation:

    • Take the Green Line to the Copley T stop.
    • Walk three blocks down Dartmouth Street (toward the Charles River).
    • Turn right on Marlborough (two blocks) to the church on your right.

    Driving directions

    From 93 North or South

    • Take route 93 to the Storrow Drive exit.
    • Follow Storrow Drive to Copley Square (inbound) exit (Clarendon Street).
    • Take second left onto Marlborough (one block).


    From the West (Mass. Pike):

    • Take Copley Square (inbound) exit.
    • Take first left onto Dartmouth (five blocks).
    • Turn right onto Marlborough St (two blocks). The church will be on your right.

    By Public Transportation:
    MBTA bus routes 62 and 76 stop near the Police Station (next door to Cary Hall). Visit the MBTA website at mbta.com for more information.

    From the North via Route 95 (Route 128)

    • Exit 31A (Route 4-225 East).
    • Follow Route 4-225 (Bedford Street) about 1.5 miles to Lexington Center until it intersects with Mass. Ave.
    • Continue on Mass Ave through the light in Lexington Center at Waltham St.
    • Cary Hall is approx 1/4 mile on the left beyond the Center.

    From the South & West via Route 95:

    • Take Rt 2 E to Exit 55, Pleasant St
    • Continue on Pleasant St until it dead-ends at Mass Ave
    • Go left on Mass Ave for 1.6 miles.
    • Cary Hall is on the right (next to the Police Station)

    From Boston via Rt 2:

    • Take Rt 2W to exit 54B- Waltham St, Lexington
    • Follow Waltham Street until it dead-ends at Mass Ave in Lexington Center (Mass Ave)
    • Turn right on Mass Ave.
    • Cary Hall is approximately 1/4 mile on the left (next to the police station)

    From Cambridge/Somerville: Take Mass. Ave. toward Arlington past the Capitol Theatre (on your left). Go about 6 blocks past the theatre and take a right at the Getty Gas station onto Tufts St.

    From Lexington: Take Mass. Ave. through Arlington Center. Right after the Walgreen's (on your right), take a left at the Getty Gas Station onto Tufts St.

    From Rt. 2: Take Rt. 60 exit toward Arlington/Medford (away from Belmont). Follow Rt. 60 until it intersects with Mass. Ave. Take a right on Mass. Ave. Go about 5 blocks, and right past the Walgreen's (on your right), take a left at the Getty Gas Station onto Tufts St.

    Once on Tufts Street: After turning onto Tufts, take a left into the parking lot - we are in the brick school building, which we share with other organizations.

    WALKING DIRECTIONS TO ST. JOHN'S FROM OUR REHEARSAL CHURCH (From First Parish UU in Arlington Center, 360 Mass Ave)
    *Stand on the Route 60/Pleasant Street side of our white rehearsal church with your back to the church and your face towards Cambridge
    *Cross the street (Route 60/Pleasant Street) so you are walking towards Cambridge
    *Turn RIGHT onto Route 60/Pleasant Street so you are walking towards Route 2 (AWAY from Mass. Ave)
    *within 1 minute (or less) you will be at St. John's Episcopal Church at 74 Pleasant Street. Enter in the side door into the sanctuary (look for the Mystic Chorale signs)

    DRIVING DIRECTIONS

    From 128 North / South:
    * Take Route 2 East to the exit marked "Route 60 Arlington".

    Boston Children's Chorus Rehearsal

    We are located at the corner of Herald Street in the South End. The directions are below, and on our web site at www.bostonchildrenschorus.org.

    Public Transportation

    Due to limited parking, we encourage use of public transportation if possible. BCC is located near the New England Medical stop on the Orange Line, the Herald Street stop on the Silver Line, and the Boylston stop on the Green Line.

    Orange Line - From the New England Medical stop, exit the Tremont Street side and walk across the bridge over Mass Turnpike; Tremont Street turns to Shawmut Avenue. BCC is the first building on the left at the corner of Shawmut and Herald.

    Silver Line - From the Herald Street stop, walk west one block to Shawmut Avenue; BCC is the first building on the left at the corner of Shawmut and Herald.

    Green Line - From the Boylston stop, walk down Tremont Street and cross the bridge over the Mass Turnpike; Tremont Street turns to Shawmut Avenue. BCC is the first building on the left at the corner of Shawmut and Herald.

    DRIVING: Parking - If you are planning to drive, there is some available street parking on Shawmut Avenue, Marginal Street and some other nearby streets. There is a $12 parking lot about two blocks down near the intersection of Shawmut and E. Berkeley Street.

    From the North
    I-93 South to Exit 20A toward South Station
    Follow straight from ramp
    Turn right onto Kneeland Street
    Make first immediate left onto Hudson Street (there is no street sign)
    Follow Hudson and bend to right
    Hudson turns into Marginal Street
    Turn left onto Shawmut Avenue

    From the South
    I-93 North to Exit 20 toward I-90/Logan Airport/Worcester/South Station
    Take Frontage Road exit on the left toward South Station
    Turn left onto E. Berkeley Street
    Turn right onto Tremont Street
    Turn right onto Herald Street
    Turn right onto Shawmut Street

    From the West
    Take the Mass Pike to Exit 22 toward Copley Square
    Make a slight right onto Route 9 East/Stuart Street
    Turn right onto Arlington Street
    Arlington turns into Herald Street
    Turn right onto Shawmut Avenue
